May 4, 2019 - January 12, 2020
The Paul Brown Museum at the Massillon Museum is featuring a new exhibition, 125 Years of the Greatest Rivalry in High School Football, from now until January 12, 2020.
The exhibition includes 107 game programs from the Massillon/McKinley rivalry series, photographs of nearly all Massillon and Canton coaches since 1894, and artifacts and photographs depicting the rivalry game and the traditions surrounding it.
“This new exhibit coincides with the 125th anniversary of the Massillon and Canton rivalry,” says MassMu’s curator of football heritage, Bailey Yoder. “It documents the ‘War of 1894’ in the cover art of more than 100 programs in the series. This exhibition has been great fun to research, and I think people will appreciate the rivalry even more after they visit the new installation.”
